Hehe, well, I don't know that we could "know" what it was like to be dead, since we didn't experience it. But, we were certainly not conscious before we were born, and we won't be after we're dead. That much can be reasonably assumed.

You can believe it, but unless you can sufficiently prove that such a thing is the case to people other than yourself, then your own personal belief means nothing to the rest of the world.

No. An Imaginary and Silent Alpha Male in the Sky doesn't save them. Their own bodies, the support of their family and friends and quality medical treatment does. There is no God.

Being an atheist, and generally viewing all prayer as superstition (unless a phenomenal series of studies come out sometime soon proving me wrong), this article dismays me more than anything.
